*I KNOW that the “Who will I have ice cream with?” line is mistranslated, and I go back and forth on this. But regardless, at that moment, Roxas still had no idea what was even going on. He didn’t know what death even was, he was starting to lose his grip on his memories of Xion in the first place, Axel was being a huge douchebag and the furthest person from Roxas’s mind, so like. Under that kind of stress, it’s a job to make sure the things that come out of your mouth are coherent at all, much less an accurate reflection of your feelings or perceptions. Roxas’s denial and struggle to process the situation took precedence over any proper phrasing, so if it’s off it’s off, give him a break.
