Piazza Rosa (Bergamo, Italy)

The temporary transformation of the Piazza Vecchia Renaissance square into a contemporary Piazza Rosa.

The Piazza Vecchia is a Renaissance square, that Le Corbusier called “the most beautiful square in Europe” .As key part of the international landscape symposium Arketipos held in Bergamo throughout September 2014 this historical square was transformed for two weeks into the meeting point for the event.

CCC Wall

The video tells about the intense (yet temporary and local) Milanese experience by means of a synthetic multimedia format made of dynamic images and flowing sound, by reverberating in the web the image of the architectural work together with that of the Milanese set-up. All this took place in wait of the completion of the actual ceramic CCCWall at Casalgrande Padana, the symbolic gateway to the Sassuolo ceramic cluster, meant as a gift and a commitment to social responsibility of the Company towards a quality of the Italian contemporary landscape.

The Festival Comodamente is an actual urban laboratory that rediscovers the forgotten places of the city, such as industrial archeologies, public spaces refused by the dynamics of everyday’s urban life, and make them relevant to the city trough new forms of cultural experimentation.The mesophilous garden evokes the “ecological memory” of the river through minerals and a natural tracks, graminaceous plants and sands, with various colors and texture, and creates a place of shelter and pause. The ephemeral project turns a marginal place into a space of affection and rediscovery, through a process shared by people. This garden is meant to inject a kind of hope and desire to care about our own ordinary landscapes.

Eat House

A house and a garden to eat! That you are able to touch, smell, taste, seed, weed, and harvest. The Eat House has a temporary character; it lasts a summer season. This is why all the materials used in EATHOUSE can be re-used for a new season at a different spot.

Jardin de le Connaissance

Walls, benches and carpets made of discarded books structure a series of rooms at once framing and dissolving into their environment. Invoking the mythic relation between knowledge and nature integral to the concept of ‘paradise’. These supposedly timeless cultural artefacts are exposed to the process of decomposition. The books are organized between structural coloured plates, while their deterioration is further stimulated and accentuated by mushrooms that are cultivated on the books. The garden becomes a sensual reading room, a library, an information platform, an invitation to a different realm of knowledge.
