Hi anon,
This is such a great question. To me, I don’t think it was just one thing, it was more a combination of everything. But something that stands out to me has always been the way Harry looks at Louis, especially in the early days when they were, quite honestly, diving head first in love and it was very obvious.
You can see it in Harry’s eyes and on his face that he was completely in love with Louis. It’s so beautiful to see. It’s the stuff poems are written about. All those moments are so touching bc they hold the innocence of a first love, and you can see the love and admiration so clearly. It’s impossible to hide. You can see that on Louis’ face too - but Harry was the one that really gave it away. Louis is more protective, always touching H and holding him, and his face is so tender when he looks at H. And Harry’s just says “I’m completely in love with you, I’ll go anywhere you go, I’m yours”. It’s like Harry looks at Louis and sees his entire life within him.
There’s just something about them that makes you believe soulmates are in fact real.
They fell in love at first sight
And of course, the arm stroke:
