Death was familiar to Kousetsu Samonji. Causing it and experiencing it, he knew the risks he took entering a battle. This battle had been no different. He had lost an arm and a good portion of one of his legs, along with sever gashes along the rest of his body. He had to revert to only his sword form to be properly transported back to the Citadel for repairs. Kousetsu was sunk into darkness, floating somewhere between the lines of life and death and unable to bring himself near consciousness. Had death actually come to him, he had a few unspoken regrets that would follow him regarding a particular divine blade.
He wasn’t sure how long he was stuck in that limbo, of flashing pain and sudden nothingness. The darkness though at one paint was broken by the smell of cherry blossoms and a feeling of warmth, which the tachi felt compelled to try and follow. It was a struggle, but Kousetsu was able to pull himself out of that darkness, the bright light of consciousness making him flinch. Moving carefully under the blankets, he found that his arm wasn’t fully grown back yet, a lower portion still gone, but his leg was back.
Eyes unfocused, he looked over at a figure that was sat close to him. They were large, so he only had a few swords he could think of. Dry lips parted as he struggled to draw breath, voice weaker than ever. “...T-tarou...tachi?”
