Wrapping up last of photos from my tours yesterday. George Dickel is much smaller operation but just as interesting. Never noticed till the tour that Dickel is whisky and not whiskey because Mr. Dickel thought his spirit was just as good as Scottish whiskies in Europe so he made his whisky even though it was made in Tennessee. Our guide was great and the one barrel house we got to check out smelled like heaven! She said they have to include “do not lick the barrels” as part of their rules when entering as they’ve had to stop some folks from licking the leaked whiskey that is on the side of some barrels. Have had a great day sampling and learning more about Tennessee Whiskey/Whisky. Have much more respect for @jackdaniels_us after the tour and sampling. Our tour guide, Jason, was fantastic! Just a short trip down the road enjoyed my time at @georgedickel with another fantastic tour and tasting. Now to take my goodies and head back home with some new found knowledge and respect for Tennessee spirits.
