See? The gems may not have forgotten about the mission, but they’re certainly not fussed over it. If the Sea Spire had been such a big deal, they probably wouldn’t have placed all that trust in Steven to begin with, and we would have probably heard about it since. 

They’ve “forgiven” Steven, and they don’t hold it against him.
