don’t get him wrong, teo loved his family more than anything in the world, but sometimes he could do without their meddling and interference on his life. especially his love life. it was no secret that he hadn’t had a significant other in what felt like years. actually, it just might’ve been years to be perfectly honest. but it wasn’t like he was unhappy. he was fine being alone and by himself - being single was a happy life to live. he didn’t have to worry about anyone besides himself. unfortunately for him, his family didn’t approval of his single lifestyle and they were pretty much forcing him into getting into a relationship, which he didn’t understand. it wasn’t like he was old - he was only twenty three and had more than enough time to find somebody and fall in love with them. he ended up telling his parents that he was engaged to someone though, just to get them off his back. was that the right thing to do? probably not. but it’s what he had to do. it’s not like they were going to come to the states just to see who the lucky person was. or so he thought. which was how he found himself in this position - standing in front of zaria with his hands locked together behind his back. “it’s only for a few weeks. then they’ll leave and we can pretend to break up and everything will go back to the way it was - please? i need you to do this for me.”
