“look there’s only so much i can do if we ain’t got the par---” he is cut off by the voice on the other side of the phone call and he falls silent. his jaw tenses and rather than waiting out whatever is being spewed at him from the other line, the mechanic simply tosses the phone in a garbage. there is a muffled noise from a now even angrier customer echoing off the plastic bag around the discarded phone. he looks over as he can feel eyes on him and his brows lift, “what?” he snaps. the perfect etiquette for someone standing at the front desk --- it’s why he so often tucks himself in the back of the shop, where the customers aren’t.
