literally nothing feels more validating than having a memory validated by canon

had my very first memory from my life as Surge from the IDW Sonic comics and i don't love it.

details below the cut.

based on what i saw and felt, it could very well have been one of my last — if not the last — interaction i ever had.

i got a brief flash so details aren't very clear. i was facing off against Shadow, and i was so angry i could barely see straight. the edges of my vision were blurred; because of that i'm pretty sure my electrical powers were in full swing.

the thing that stood out to me the most is how perfectly calm Shadow was. it was eerie. it was the kind of calm a person who's killed before gets when they know they're about to kill again.

if i did take Sonic's leg during the events of issue #56 like i suspect, then it would make perfect sense that Shadow would come after me. if i came that close to killing Sonic the first time, then Shadow wouldn't want to risk me getting a second chance.

i'm never going to forget the look on Shadow's face. holy shit.

i am hoping i get more details in the future. i want to know what happened. i can't imagine i walked away from that, though.
