My Monster High Robecca Steam doll went with me to TeslaCon this year! She’s wearing the little steampunk outfit I made for her, photographed with a prop and backdrop brought by the lovely people who put on the Doll and Plushie Tea Party. It was great fun to have tea and cookies with other doll lovers and see all the dolls dressed in their steampunk best! I look forward to making more steampunk doll clothes for my ghouls to show off next year!

My 1910s Ascot outfit for TeslaCon 9! The theme for Saturday night’s ball was the black and white Ascot Race Scene from My Fair Lady, which I’ve always loved, so I decided to just go historical and make the kind of dress I’ve always wanted. I made the tunic from silk dupioni and the skirt from velveteen, and the hat was a lucky find that I re-trimmed with flowers and an ostrich plume. I was so happy to see someone in the Eliza Doolittle costume, and of course I had to get a pic with her!
