She's going to move into my 72 l Cory Cube next week! While many sources on the internet insist that 20 l are enough room for keeping Betta splendens, German animal welfare laws require tanks of 54l minimum for keeping vertebrates aka fish and amphibians and I am a responsible fishkeeper.

Catching all the shrimps and Corys to transfer them to the even bigger Ricefield Simulator 250 l tank takes its sweet time though, so this pretty little dumbo eared lady lives in the small cube until I'm done and the water has cleared.

In the 150l Platy Playground tank i have to do some gardening and trim back the Hygrophila, which has grown into a big blob in the centre, that neither looks good nor allows room to swim freely. The Platys and Flame Tetras i have in the Bedroom Tank will move back to the PP next week, too. They're also stealing too much food from my gobies, who are very slow swimmers, so I rather have them and the gobies separated and i am currently researching whether I could keep a pair of Trichogaster lalius with the gobies, given they are slow swimmers and surface feeders, who shouldn't be too much competition for the gobies.

I was also in contact with a local hobbyist Betta breeder, about one of his blue plakat or veiltail males, but he hasn't replied in almost 2 weeks ^^; and with the current plans/set-up restructuring, and Gipsy Danger's arrival, i fortunately don't have a reasonable place to put an eventual Striker Eureka anyway.

One of the bumblebee gobies (Brachygobius doriae) with a Neocaridina davidi shrimp for scale!

Another gobie! Not a B. doriae though, which leaves me in the awkwars position that i have to get a buddy for this one eventually too.

Fortunately, in the South American blackwater river habitats, it's easy to keep count of your school when all of you shine and glimmer! I drew some neon tetras (Paracheirodon innesi) since they're on the smaller side, and super cute :]
