Living for the thought of OU Jewel getting captured and Tetsuji loses track of her for a bit until news spreads of her whereabouts and he’s super pissed about it, and I mean just burnt crust angry throughout the whole chapter.
So he’s goes to that city and surveys it for a short time, finds a mage guard that works at the prison she’s locked away in, and beats the tar out of him, steals his clothes, and uses that to break in and find her so that he can bust her frosty ass out of there.
He’s fighting off mages with his sword the entire time (he’s just a hunter but his sword has magic imbued into it) and eventually breaks her out there.
And Jewel’s super surprised like, “Yer the Last person I ever expected ta visit me, hello--”
And he takes down the last mage and points his blade at her and yells, “And I’m going to be the last one you see because no one else can have you, understand?!”
And she just
“O....they were gonna publicly execute me and you just.... wanted dibs? Ofc that’s why yer here that’s what this has been the entire time I mean I guess I shouldn’t be surprised... I’ll... give ya points fer persistence??? ? Are we about to duke it out for real right now?”
But he gets her out of there. They’re running through a forest and he says, “Why haven’t you used any of your ice yet? It’s always moving on you.”
And she says, “They put some spell on me when they got me. Hyou’s been sleepin’ since they did it but they had ta do it more than once so it may be a temporary thing... Dunno what flowers you’ve been eatin but I dunno if ya thought all this through?”
Tetsu’s like “What to do you mean, I got you out of there--”
and Jewel says, “Nothin’s stoppin’ me from ditchin’ yer ass either.” Except tiredness maybe. She didn’t have the same kind of energy she did when Hyou was awake. “And I’m pretty sure you’ve just committed a few crimes.”
