Here's an obligatory collage of my personal favorite artworks from 2025 ✨️

I'm happy I got to draw so much art in 2025 not just for myself but for friends and other people in the form of art trades, art fight, gifts and even a few commissions ☺️ This year was also remarkably social for an introvert like me so I couldn't be more thankful for all the new friends I made, so I think that's my greatest achievement 🥹

Thank y'all for tagging along, I hope to see you now in 2026 too! 🫶💕

My art goals in 2026 ✍️

▪️ Finish my Gelfling OC comic Something Lost - Something Found (finally!!)

This is my top priority. It was delayed because I was focusing on other things and my personal project managing needs a lot of work, but I'm proud of what I've made so far! 👉👈

▪️ Focus on OC lore and stories

Fan works have brought me a lot of joy this past year, but I also miss my original little guys 🥺 I want to develop them more and put them in ✨️ situations ✨️

▪️ Draw and post smut (BlueSky only)

It's time to unlearn shame and embrace the inner freak 😌 Ironic since the internet has never been more volatile to NSFW art, but that's why I want to fight back.

Secondary goals include:

▪️ Starting another comic (OC and/or fan work)

Because I just can't live without this kind of ball and chain stuck to my ankle lmao ✌️

▪️ Studying backgrounds that inspire me

I love the BG art in 80s and 90s cartoons and anime so I wish to study them and hope I can improve my skills in the process. Not a replacement for fundamentals but I gotta make it fun to get in the groove first! 🌿

▪️ Practise coloring

I enjoy my black and white art, but my coloring isn't as confident. I'm still figuring out the direction I want to go with it... 🤔

▪️ Timelapses and animatics??

I burned myself out making videos back in the day and that's why there's not many I've done recently, so it would be fun to make a few in the future again. But this is a very, VERY soft goal because omg, the grind is real 🫠

But most importantly I want to have fun with my art, so I won't treat this list as something that becomes the sole metric of my excellence and failure as an artist. Just a reminder of what I find important for the new journey ahead of me 😌

End of the year update about my Gelfling OC comic ✨

Progress has been slow but steady! About 20 % of the pages are ready at the moment, so there's still lots to do.

My goal is to get the comic out ASAP in 2025, hopefully much before June, but of course life is unpredictable so take that estimate with a grain of salt.

There's still no official name for the comic lol, I need to think of something clever so I can call this thing something a bit fancier in the future 😅

Gelfling OC comic update! ✨

First update for the project in 2025 and I'm happy to tell you that now 50% of the pages are done! 🎉 Reworking some of my original panel compositions managed to lower the page count without cutting any story content, which obviously made my life as the creator a bit easier (haha) and hopefully resulted in a more streamlined reading experience for the readers 😊

Now there's also a 50/50 chance of me getting this thing done before the deadline I set for June... Even if this is just a fun project I do on my free time, I want to challenge myself by working towards this goal as hard as I can. Wish me luck! 👀💦

And as the icing on the cake, the comic now has an official name!! 🥳

Nealia discovers that making comics is hard work, who would've thought!

Just a fun little update to the Gelfling OC comic project I've been working on 🎶

It's going to be over 20 pages long (my longest so far!), black & white. When finished, I'll try to post it on all of my socials in its entirety in one post if possible, depending on the platform. (The comic strip above is just a gag and doesn't reflect the style of the actual comic lol)

I just finished editing the page layouts, so now all that's left to do is to actually draw the whole thing clean! Will show some WIPs from time to time along the way... ✍️ Naturally this will take a long while, but hopefully it'll be worth it in the end! ✨
