What’s with these new bot-looking accounts contacting me through chat to tell me to go check out a victimized dude on instagram going by the name tevilbloom?

I mean, it screams scam to me due to the usual porn-bot appearance of the icon and name of these “people” contacting me. I’m just surprised by this tactic of contacting me out of nowhere to point me towards this specific guy on instagram. A sob story about him being attacked for having opinions, but nothing on why I should be checking him out on the matter.

Haven’t bothered to click the link because I don’t trust that stuff, just wanna hear if others are getting these chat messages over tumblr too. Is this the replacement of the usual porn-bots?

Or am I misreading a very weird situation?

bluemenace replied to your post: Doesn’t seem to be a scam, but spam nevertheless. He seems to be a musician and probably bought services from some shady and cheap social media marketer that uses bots to spam people. I remember there was spam like this before, also from a music band.
