sooo it has come to my attention that the gradient effect i use is pretty eye catching & you guys wanted to learn how to do it yourself!
so here’s my *hopefully* quick and easy tutorial! :3
—
☆ this is the website i mainly use: https://www.stuffbydavid.com/textcolorizer ☆
it can be done on your computer (where as some may find it easier) but i just use my phone! you can use safari, google, whatever works!
1st, type the words, sentence, characters etc that you’d like to have said color!
2nd, decide what kind of gradient you’ll like to use! there are THREE types: horizontal, middle & 3-colored. (i personally use the 3-colored often!)
3rd, choose your color scheme!! you can type in a code or just press different sections! the side bar is also to mess with the shadow of the color!
here are what each gradient looks like!
ex. three-colored gradient
ex. middle gradient
ex. horizontal gradient
4th, once tour satisfied with everything, you’re gonna go to the very last box and copy everything!
once you finish all that, you’re going to go to the tumblr website! (you can use a computer or google on your phone) go to said draft you want to edit, and click on the settings button in the corner. click on HTML, it’s gonna look CRAZY! but all you have to do is highlight the words you want to colorize and then hit paste!
hit preview ! your text should now be colorized to how you wanted it to look!
and that’s it! just make sure you hit save! then you can go back to editing or typing as normal :)
i tried to make this as simple as i could haha 🥲 hopefully it’s easy to understand 💔 i will also link the original post that i learned from as well however i do skip a few steps since i foudn they’re not needed anymore haha

hi i love your account! can you help me on how to put the descriptions or words in another colour than the tumblr option? i would appreciate it very much, thank you in advance <333
haii tysm and ofc !! i made a tut below :3
1. you need this first site and this second one !
note : gradient can only be done on the web
2. use the first site to insert an image and select your hex codes
3. move on to the second site
enter the text you want colored into the text box, then choose your color effect. ( i use the “three colored gradient” for mine )
copy your hex codes from the first site and enter them into the “choose the colors” section
like so :
now copy the entire HTML code ( NOT BB ) and open a new draft on tumblr web ! it must be on the web version, or this will not work. i also recommend doing this on a computer if it is available, as i find it simpler to switch tabs.
4. go to the new draft’s settings and find “text editor,” then switch the drop down to HTML
directly paste the copied HTML into the draft and then click save. it should now show up colored with a gradient.
like so :
you can now open up the draft, copy the colored text, and paste it where you need.
hopefully this is helpful and feel free to reach out if any questions arise :3
cause some of you asked me, and well, here is the tut, enjoy 🫶🏻
when editing your post, click on that lil button on the top right corner, which should bring you here
just swap your text editor by clicking on it
to html !!
then your post will look like this. html and preview.
in the html thingy you just have to copy paste the html from your website. i use this one. if you want, i can post a tut for that website too, just tell me :3
depending on how the gradient is and how long it is, it will probably look like this.
and on preview, you're able to see how the html turned out, hope this helped☺️
I wanted to say i ADORE your blog theme- and all the colors for the text.
may I ask how exactly did you do that? for me, the colors for the text is the default spectrum of colors.
thank you, blessed be!

𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ𐙚 Hi, I just saw your ask box today. I am so sorry for the late answer. I have been so busy lately and I didn't have any chance to open Tumblr and keep up with my mutuals' recent posts.
𝜗𝜚 ࣪˖ ִ𐙚 Just to let you know, it seeems rude to send double ask box with the same exact question. I understand that you are very desperate to get the answer. But instead of waiting, you could search it up on Google. Google won't let you wait, yknow?
