The activities of the Knights of Favonius in Nod-Krai and Varka's dynamic with Mavuika make want to see more diplomacy between the Nations of Teyvat. There are already several links between the nations of Teyvat on the individual level. So let the flowers of Friendship bloom into diplomacy all over Teyvat not just between individuals. The Knights of Favonius (as well as Tsaritsa with her Fatui Harbingers) unoficially started something that needs to be expanded on. Give me official talks between Mavuika and Neuviellette. The Tsaritsa and the Abyss Order are too dangerous to be fought by the Nations on an individual level. Making cooperation between them both needed and possible, especially considering that the Natlanese are finally allowed to travel. On that note i kinda want to see more exchanges between other Nations, especially without the direct Involvement of Mondtstadt (or the Traveler). Let Hu Tao try to sell coffins to the Natlanese. Let the Akademiya study Tech from Natlan and Fontaine. Natlan and Sumeru share a Border. So do Sumeru and Fontaine. I need to see characters from these nations interact with the same frequency as those from Liyue and Mondtstadt.
Tbf i haven't finished Inazuma, so maybe there is more around the point of the story i'm currently stuck, due to getting sidetracked by exploration and stuff i shouldn't do yet.
I was thinking about posting a second batch sooner, but then I realized that all my screenshots might be spoilers (took a lot of pic in the Temple of Space and related quest). So I think I'll hold all new maps/content a patch or two before posting them, so It's not too much of a spoiler.
And oh my, I really love Chenyu Valley!
I fully understand that my theory has flaws. Probably even real contradictions.
But — I dreamed this And now I'm suffering. And now you're suffering too.
(I also stopped playing around Natlan and just watching lore video, read theory and wiki so i know i wrong .)
A bit more detail: (khmm. Maybe too more)
Guizhong is Seutervoinen?
Guizhong was the goddess of Memory and Dust. I think the key word is Memory. That sounds like Seutervoinen.
Because it was literally her job watching for the worlds and collected memory. And she was like memory-sprit.
Based on the timeline — Guizhong and Morax met before the Archon War.
But most likely after the Rebellion of the Angels. Because Zibai never said anything about Guizhong. Not a single mention. And probably after the War of Funerary Flame as well.
So it makes sense that Seutervoinen — after parting with Koitar — lost her memory (punishment from the Heavenly Principles as Koitar did) and somehow ended up in the lands of future Liyue.
Fell in love with a dragon. Fell in love with humans. And they built a new nation together.
Easy story.
Why Zhongli is Nibelung?
Ugh.
Okay — step by step.
First — the War of Funerary Flame.
We know that in the end — Nibelung loses, but manages to wound the Heavenly Principles so badly that... they fall into a coma?
Now my theory: Nibelung sets out to find a way to save his beloved world. On the way, he encounters the Abyss.
(love the theory that the Abyss is the key. And that the Abyss can cut the destiny that Seutervoinen wove.)
So Nibelung returns home. He's wounded. Dying. Weakened.
He returns — and sees that his world — his home — his precious child — has been changed.
The Heavenly Principles, the Primordial One, Phanes came and rewrote the laws of the world. Filled it with humans. Restricted the dragons' rights.
Now — the question: Did the Phanes actually create humans?
Because Nibelung knew what humans looked like. Look at the Moons! The Moons look like humans! They could have made them dragons — but made them in human form. So they had already encountered humans before. Which means someone who looked human was already living in Teyvat.
Maybe the Phanes just added their humans to the ones already there? I don't know.
Also — the Phanes did not love Teyvat. Their rule was cruel. The Moons bowed their heads and did nothing — because the Heavenly Principles and their Shades were stronger.
Maybe the Heavenly Principles came with humans from another world — one that died just as Teyvat was destined to die. That's why they made such radical changes to the world's structure — not just settled there.
The Heavenly Principles were the first Descender. Descenders — those who change a world's destiny from the outside.
Nibelung couldn't be the first — because he was part of the world.
He's the second — because it was with his return that the world's destiny changed for the second time — and he brought the Abyss, which cut his connection to destiny.
Nibelung — corrupted by the Abyss — returns and sees these colonizers. Sees how his world has been twisted. How it's no longer what he created.
Dying — Nibelung looks around. Sees ruins. And thinks — what difference does it make — humans or dragons? This war destroyed his home. He asks: Is this my home? What was all this for? Is this world even worth it? How has it changed? I want to know this world
.So he splits himself. His body nourishes Irminsul. (Because what happened to the body of a giant dragon?!)
And his spirit appears in the form of a new dragon — Zhongli. Mo. Lord Mo. But here's the first problem.
Zibai met Zhongli before Nibelung returned.. .That would mean — the Angels were destroyed and turned into fairies before the War of Funerary Flame? Or after? They were turned into fairies using dragon bones... so either some dragons were killed before — or after. Meaning — Zhongli already existed in Teyvat while Nibelung was away.
Aha.Nibelung creates Zhongli — is reborn as Zhongli — and sends his spirit back in time.
Time travel.
He wants to witness how his world will change — so he returns to the very beginning.
I present to you — little geo dragon.
This tiny guy stays as far away from important figures as possible. Avoids Nibelung. Just enjoys the world and collects rocks. He doesn't know who he is — except that he's a dragon.
But since he's not a real dragon without parents — he's also an elemental being — a Qilin. Not quite a dragon.
But I believe little Zhongli was already talking way too much about rocks — rambling in paragraphs.
There used to be a theory that Rex Lapis created the adepti. That he gave animals and elemental beings intelligence and power. Just his presence near them gave them strength. That's why he was the First Adeptus.
That's a huge ability for a simple dragon. (I don't know if that theory has been debunked.)
His abilities — that's a whole separate conversation.
Especially because in other Hoyo games — there's no Geo at all. But there's a similar element — Imaginary. Which runs on Imaginary energy.
Most Geo characters do show something similar to Imaginary abilities — and can even make temporary constructs. But Zhongli made spears/mountains from that energy — and they didn't crumble. I believe he uses Geo to create a meteor in the upper atmosphere — and then drops it.
Anyway — what is he?
Very often, Imaginary energy is contrasted with Quantum energy.
So — there's this Geo dragon. Hanging out with birds and rocks.
Of course — somewhere out there, the real Nibelung and other dragons exist... but they don't really cross paths. Then Nibelung leaves.
(Or Zhongli got thrown back in time when Nibelung left.)
Then the Phanes arrive and remake the world. kill samr dragons
Zhongli — in dragon form — isn't exactly thrilled about humans, etc. So he keeps his distance — along with the adepti and gods.
Then the War of Funerary Flame begins. It lasts 40 years.? (It was it ir early dragon rebilling?)
I don't think he joined. We know he existed before that — but what was he doing during it? Most likely — trying to protect everyone on the ground.
Another thought
Or —We always talk about the fake sky. Constellations. The Moons.
But we never talk about the Sun.
What if Nibelung left three Moons — and the Sun?
But the Moons — realizing the Heavenly Principles were bad — erased all data about the Sun from Irminsul — and hid it?And Zhongli is the Sun?
I love that theory.
Anyway — I really like the story about a dragon and a girl who fell in love with the world he created.
He learned of the world's sad fate — and left to find answers.
She broke every law of her people and her world — just to see Teyvat — and give it a chance to live.
Plus the Rebellion of the Angels. And fall in love in firs Angel and morning star? Give them power of wishes snd freedom? Because this doesn't creat with that cruel rules. (Thre somewhere is theory that Angels wasn't created by Phanes, because they have really many dragons motiv ij dress, so maybe they were civilians on the moon? But Phanes destroyed there memories?)... I shut up.
And wouldn't it be a tragedy — if they later met again — neither knowing who the other truly was? Not knowing who they themselves really are?
And this time — falling in love with each other?
And creating something on the land they both loved so much?
Plus — she didn't die.
As the goddess of Memory — she sealed her essence into that little meteor — the one Zhongli still carries with him.
Because she didn't want to die under the new order — so she merged with Irminsul.
And it's very important to understand — the entire story of Genshin is told by unreliable narrators
Every witness interprets things their own way. Plus — some things are translations of other texts within the game. So we have tons of information that contradicts itself.
Plus — each nation had its own names for gods, etc.
Each took a side. The people who wrote those texts didn't know the land belonged to dragons. Didn't know Nibelung was the true creator. Same with the Angels and the Moons.
So — many unreliable narrators. Many assumptions. Many stories that turned into fairy tales and myths — and took on a life of their own.
All we can do — is look for the common core. Move from there. And read the meta descriptions — which are maybe 80% true — and 30% are weird metaphors and allegories minted by history.
This is what I love about Genshin.
Honestly — the strangest thing for me in the history before the Funerary Flame is the entire migration of the future Liyue's inhabitants.
Because there were so many adepti, gods, higher beings — and Morax was walking around somewhere...
All we can be sure of right now — is that there was one city that was destroyed during the war by a Heavenly Nail.
Langgan. Ruled by Zibai.
I have so many questions.
Please answer
What do think? And don't shy telling if i have a mistake somewhere. Maybe it helping to stop creating a tragic of this two in my head.
why does the teleport waypoint description say that the people of teyvat "see them as ancient gimmicks" with no practical function, while the portable waypoint description says it's an "incredible convenience to vision bearers". so which is it. does the general public not know that vision bearers can utilize them? (how would that work?? all the main cities have wps in pretty damn visible spots?? also what would be the point) can vision bearers only utilize the portable waypoints and not the original ones?? (that also makes no sense. i mean, maybe, i guess, but the first description implies that people have no idea what the wps could even be used for. so then why would they make portables look the same. they would have had to figure out the function and the base mechanic of the waypoints. am i crazy????) is it a minstranslation or just genuine inconsistency. hoyo. respond.
