One of the best experiences....
I really want to share this. So this happened to me. I was in a community server yesterday, more specific Jump_Academy. I joined and everything was cool, I was in the training instance. The first level was about doing jumps in general, normal jump, get higher, fall in a platform, that kind of stuff.
The second level was about doing jumps with the walls, ya know. At first it was not that difficult, some parts took me a few attempts but I manage to get them right. There was 6 obstacles. I kinda get stuck in the third one, I gotta to use the wall shooting 2 times to get to the other side (kinda in a U turn).
I was alone and suddenly some random player showed up, he got it at his first try, I turned to see him (There was a window so you can see where you have to land and a little of the other obstacles) and I screamed ‘Help’, I did it unconsciously ( A guy before him had passed and ignored me, so I didn’t think he would notice) he turned to see me and said ‘Good job’. I spammed a little the ‘Go Go Go’ ‘Move up’ He looked at the next obstacle and then back at me, I used the go voice line again, and then ‘Thanks’ he went his way while I was trying to do the jump again, I was there for a while until I got the hang of it and in the end I did it.
The next jump was even harder, I had to use a wall to pass through a hole level grounded, I spend like 40 min there until a group of other players came, one was engineer, and like 2 or 3 soldiers (2 with Unusuals). They seemed very experienced, I kept trying to do the jump, they noticed me and started to give me tips on how to do it on voice chat, even going back to show me again how, they even started to encourage me with words ( I had the pumpkin head) like ‘Go Pumpkin Head!’ ‘You can do it pal’ and things like that, later they kinda leave and wished me luck. But one of them stayed, he was helping me and giving me tips, he repeated the jump a couple of times, I manage to get it tho.
The next one was the most difficult for me, it took so long, but this guy stayed with me, showed me how to move my mouse and all, every time I got close he yelled ‘Good Work!’ ‘Nice Shot!’ . Other guy came and questioned why we were there and the guy that was helping me said that he was trying to help me, the other guy (His name was —- Dick something, I dunno) was like ‘Bruh this is so easy, I don’t know why it’s taking so long’ and I type in ‘Well, As I Medic main, this is hard as fuc’ Dick answered me with ‘Then why u here?’ And a random guy typed back ‘bc it’s fun’ My Friend (The guy helping me ) said ‘Not everyone has to play Soldier to be here Yknow’ and I kept trying while they talked about Trades. At one point I said ‘All soldier mains have my respect for rocket jumping ‘ and my friend answered ‘Anyone that tried this more than 20 minutes has my respect’ . Every time I got closer and closer, then this random guy said ‘guys on 5 you can use the wall for impulse’ And i tried a couple more times and I got it. I was so fucking happy! . My friend that was talking to D suddenly stopped and said ‘OH YOU DID IT!’ And he came to where I was and high five me.
The next was a little difficult too, after a couple of minutes He had to leave and said ‘Well, it was an honor to watch all of this’ . He then used the High five taunt, I went to him and high five him while saying ‘Thanks ‘ after he left I tried to add him. I have never experienced something like this, yes, on casual sometimes there’s nice guys. But this guy stood with me for more than 2 hours helping me out. For me it’s a prove that In the community there’s such a nice people, I will never forget this.
After I tried to add him I send him a message:
Hey! I just wanted to thank you for staying with me in the server, helping me, showing me how to make the jumps and even going back when I accidentally fell in the previous jumps, I really appreciate the time you spent with me, really. You are such a nice person, I would really like playing with you again if you want. Not just Jump Academy, anything would be great, and again thanks pal . Not everyone is like you.
