Everywhere at the Beginning of Death
this is kind of fun and new huh? i think so.
I know it isn't confirmed 'a thing' in TF2 canon, but I like to imagine the respawn machine has a presence. I just love what Emesis Blue brought to the table a few years ago. (emesis blue mentioned ooohh *im jingling keys in your face* emesis blueeee ooooo)
[Headcanon/Speculation Time] In the case that the respawn machine was in the comics, it provides "The Naked and the Dead" an interesting explanation, in my opinion.
And that got me to thinking; why wouldn't the Mann brothers or the Admin take advantage of it? Maybe they're just not compatible? Maybe the years of injecting australium had something to do with it... See... now I like that give-n-take.
Reminds me kinda how sometimes if a bacteria develops resistance to bacteriophages, it can become more susceptible to antibiotics. [source that I hope to god I'm understanding correctly. Not that it matters. I am being metaphorical, not trying to educate you lmfao]
Err.. Idea being... If you're using australium to prolong your lifespan, the machine won't print you right. Ergo, you can use only one. (I like to think the machine wasn't invented until circa the 1930s, when the Classics were hired.) Now take this, and consider that TFC Heavy had just a little bit of Australium in his system. Assuming he was respawn-compatible in the first place and had a profile up in the machine...
I wonder what would happen if the respawn machine ever came back on.
just some food for thought.
