Insectacon Sparklings are called grubs and they're fluffy as fuck when they hatch.
So when Bee was a grub, he was the fluffiest goddamn sparkling ever and his sire had no idea what to do with the wiggly fluffy thing that came outta his mate, he didn't really register that it was their kid at first because Bee was so poofy you couldn't see his eyes.
Of course when Blitz saw a photo he lost his goddamn mind because f l u f f y but also its hilarious that Bumblebee was basically a worm at one point this poor giant dumbass can't comprehend it.
Of course when Prowl found out he wanted to see what Bee had under his armor instantly.
And of course Bee being a techno-organic, this makes him 100% fluffier as an adult which doesn't help.
