Doodled an idea for Breakdown in Tfone’s style. I am NOT proficient enough at drawing these guys to design one from the ground up, so I heavily relayed on and traced over one of the Iiacon racers to get an idea of what I was after. Personally I loved earthspark’s depiction of him both in design and character wise, so that’s what I’m gonna yoink for his characterization. That and his + Bee’s friendship. I’ll tinker and slowly drag more of his g1 design into this as I get more comfortable drawing these guys XP

I can already see Bee excitedly yapping to him because he’s a racer and Breakdown getting roped into teaching him how to use his alt mode properly as well as race. Cue their life long friendship getting just as messy as our leads

Okay so a shit ton of people are pointing this out already and everything im about to say has probably been said already but i feel liked id say this to tumblr so:

I think its not good that uh. Some people are seeing TFONE bee as a? Literal baby? Like, a child? How did people even come to this conclusion, just hearing his voice enough, i doubt hes supposed to be like, a literal child😭isn’t it weird that some part of the fandom is infantilizing the talkative, happy character? Just because he likes to share things about himself and talks a lot? He may be young but like, i don’t think hes supposed to be THAT young zamn

Idk some of the jokes are funny or whatever but like come onnnn… the momlita thing too. What? Where in this movie is she motherly? Let alone overprotective?

Shes like, a little bit mean (not even that tbh . Reasonable crashout) sometimes . Is it because shes a woman? Like what? If anything id say optimus is the mother here smh. Can’t be more motherly than optimus prime himself

Like this movies the origin story or whatever so everyones younger but the way certain parts of this fandom treats tfone bee is rubbing me the wrong way man, thats a grown bot with nuts and bolts if you ask me. Bee and Elita barely had any interaction anyway. And creating interactions creating more than the movie gave you is completely fine, its great, i love that shit but this just seems like mischaracterization to me idk. Im not the transformers expert
