What an incredible wedding we had the privilege of capturing for Leon and Marna  .... Everything from The Atmosphere created by the Transparent Tent under the night stars decorated to a tee, to The People, The Dresses, Make-up, Flowers, Live Music, and even the Venue itself . . . Wow, Wow, Wow . . . I couldn't have planned a more perfect wedding on my best day.... just Endless memories from start to finish!

So excited for this year's creche theme

We Custom built this entire set from the jetti to the backdrop image... Even the fishing rod and fish... I had about as much fun creating it as I'm going to have shooting it in schools.

The water effect was added in photoshop, which seems like a lot of work... But I created a photoshop preset to batch process hundreds of images at a time.

If you do it, Do it Properly!!

This is the sentiment I was raised with. Being a bit of a control freak and perfectionist, I’m not happy with my service delivery until my client is happy that I’m happy. Even if my client is happy when I know I wouldn’t be if I was my own client, I push on until I’m happy that they’re happy.

That all sounds complicated, but what that comes down to is providing a service that I can be proud of. I could have outsourced this service, but then I would stress about putting their quality to my name, as well as my expectations and their availability issues. South African Performing Arts Championships

What a busy year its been so far . . . and as much variety as there has been work. I’m feeling truly blessed!!

Much of the variation has come in the form of last minute fill ins for photographers that were short handed or clients that had photographers drop them last minute.

This Particular event, the National Performing Arts Championships, had me assisting a fellow photographer again who had become double booked with a wedding. That’s the draw back of being good at your trade . . . you are your business, so its often near impossible to find another photographer with similar photographic style and business ethic to assist you.

We have some amazing up coming talent in this country, from the 6 year olds through to the 18+ ages. The dancing was spectacular
