[there's a table and two chairs set up in a small area of the cult so as not to be in the way of the main paths. On the table is a checkerboard and checkers.] I've been challenging people to arm wrestling lately, but I feel it's time to switch it up! Would the Lamb or their followers be up for a game of checkers? Win or lose, sometimes it's nice to take a break!
No need to set up anything, they already got everything they need for games!
Hi! I don't know if the last ask went thorugh cause I got a "bad request" error, so sorry if I sent it twice. I like how in-depth you go with developing your AU (like the conlang) as well as the OCs you made, very fun to go through. I was wondering if you explored how sin affects the mental health of followers in your AU and how is it dealt with? It can be inferred from the in-game dialogue (damned followers) that sin causes them suffering and I think it can be an interesting topic
I only got this ask from you, so it's all good👌
Very early in THaB's development, there was a Sin Arc planned. (At the time, the story was based on one of my CotL save, and I had shenanigans with the sin mechanics) But we removed it. With the direction the story took, this Sin Arc would have been superfluous/useless, and with how long the story is, we can't afford something like that-
We might talk a little bit about it, depending on what the story asks for, but the concept will be restricted to those two background characters- And their intervention in the story won't even be about sin-
Btw, that's Hana and Pumer, the cult's greatest sinners, and best parents believe it or not!
Wowhy : Pumer and Hana come from my playthrough ! here is some fun facts about them because I adore them.
-Pumer was my first follower ever ! Everytime I start a new file I put him back in as my first follower. I marry him everytime too eheh. In my second file (the first one got corrupted, I'm a switch player) He fell in love and started dating Hana ! So now she also is transported to every new file. In that original file, they had two kids together, Eve and... Selky. For obvious reasons, we changed her name when we put those characters in THaB.
-They both work in the field, around sometimes around the farms if help is needed - Hana LOVES knucklebone. She is very good at it and most likely beat everyone in the cult 4 times over. Only some give her a challenge and she takes it in stride.
-Eve and Lilith will sometimes bring things to bet with, like minerals and shells from the quarry or the beach. If she ever see something in the betting table that her girls will like, you bet that she locks in to win. - The two of them have an open relationship. Pumer is a regular of the mating tent and some of the followers are friends with benefits with him (Especially Pan). But they are only romantic with each other (They can sometime act like a young couple or newly wed, even with their decade and a bit of relationship).
-Eve (white fox) and Lilith (orange rabbit) are theirs kids ! You saw them last update annoying Narinder eheh. When it comes to their kids, they are deadly serious about being good parents for them, and they keep their lives as sinners and their lives as parents as separated as possible. -They both love a good drink at the end of a work day and are regulars of Deimos' bar (to the dismay of the other regular, Horas)
-Pumer is part of the peoples who check in on Phoros to make sure that he doesn't overwork himself to an early grave. It often ens up with the both of them at the bar (or more if the mood is there).
-In THaB, wee kept the thing where children live in their own house. But since they all live in Shared Shelters both Eve and Lilith are never far from their parents. Eve and Lilith are bunking together and the two parents each have their room. But it's not rare to find one of the children sneaking into their parent's room at night because of a nightmare, or Pumer and Hana sleeping in the same bed that night because they felt like it.
