When it comes to Jason getting a speedy friend, people are stuck between, Godspeed, Dark Flash and Inertia
Inertia or Owen Mercer
mercury falling (impulse #62-66)
((So this weekend I bought and then today read, The Flash: Mercury Falling, which is the great book where Thad takes over Bart's life and we get a little peek into the depths of his soul. Also him and Bart both have that ridiculous yet fantastic hair.
Anyways, when they introduced Thad in the book, they referred to him as Bart's evil and dark twin. I have bitter sweet feelings about this line. My immediate reaction was for my Iris muse to freak out. I distinctly recall hearing her voice very loudly shouting, "What did you just call my baby?"
I'd like to take this moment to point out that if this book showed us anything, it's that Thad is not evil. He does good and he enjoys it. Yes he enjoys it because of the reward, but everyone does. Do you think Superman would save people if it made him feel like shit? I will forever stand by my belief that if things had panned out differently and people had shown Thad love for who he really was, he could have been saved.
Also, I'd like to cherish the fact that they said "twin" not "clone". I hate it when people act like they're not similar things. It's like, oh, look two people who are really different despite looking the same, but one was born in a test tube, they must be the same. I love Thad for his individuality and I'm glad we could take the time to recognized it.))
