College Park to be exact. This EP is a great compound of talent. It tells a story of one wild night out with the boys that ends up in a explosive break up the next morning. I downloaded this album off of iTunes because one of my sources told me to check it out and it didn't hurt that it looked pretty cool. The album cover art is quite an eye-catcher. It's called "Brown & White Tha Fifth Vol.1" and has one brown bottle and one white bottle on either side of the title. This screamed "party album" to me. Another good selling point is that it appeals to liqueur drinkers of two types. This cover art looks to me like a billboard that you might pass by while driving on the expressway looking for that "get right". You can also envision it on the sign of a liqueur store as it is creatively illuminated on the website www.Tharealmg.com. It also leaves you guessing who these artists are since there is no picture of them. Very interesting and sractches the border of suspense. The EP opens up with "Look at Me", an anthem boasting their ability to get all the bad bitches and ball out in the club. The chorus is really catchy and has a taunting melody that hypnotizes the listener and intimidates the "haters". If you like quick wit and bravado, this is a joint for you. Next is "WYB (Work Your Body)". Whoever comes up with these choruses has some serious club banger savvy. The beat and verses remind you of the booty shaking songs of the '90s then the hook comes in with a modern twist that makes even the most "holy than thou" lady get up and twerk. This is a real feel good party song. It would rock any strip club or party scene. This next track made it to my favorites, "Supa Faded", which features a video on YouTube ( http://youtu.be/AECuck2_NNQ ). This song is a true "wasted" anthem. The beat is kind of sonic and mechanical, kind of like the echoes you may hear in your ears and in your head when you finally get to your bed after a long night of partying. I also liked the video as it featured blurred vision and horrible aim at the "porcelain throne", if you will, that had me crying with laughter. After they sober up and charge up their dead cell phones, The SouthSide Shark MG and his partner Dilemma find that their women have been blowing up their lines. They have 40-50 missed calls and there's going to be hell to pay when they get home. We all know that feeling the morning after we have neglected our significant others to have a night out with our besties or partners in crime. No Bueno! This results in "Get Yo Sh!t". A breakup song illustrating the consequences of not answering your cell phone, or ignoring texts from that special someone whom you may have to go home to after all the fun is over. It has some pretty heavy lyrics that we can all relate to. Personally, I love break-up songs, because you can use them as ringtones on your phone to remind you NOT to answer your ex's calls or to play on repeat when you want to relay your message without speaking to them. Finally, after the clubbing and the break-up, where they head to? None other than the strip club to have some "One-on-One" with a dream girl that won't give you all that drama your girlfriend comes with. Many guys go to the strip club to get their minds off the stresses of daily life and drift off into a fantasy world with no judgements and relaxation. Understandable, right? This EP takes you through all the emotions from turn up to wild out to winding down. It's fun and even educational for those who want to learn what not to do when it comes to certain situations or what to do to make them better. Big ups and congratulations to Tha Real MG and Dilemma Onassis on this one. I had fun listening to it and playing it on repeat until I memorized almost the entire thing. Keep up the good work fellas!
