Thatch was never really one for nicknames, and he only used name calling when he wasn't getting his way, but he did use one word a lot. Babe. Thatch had a habit of calling people his babe, and most of the crew knew that it was just a thing he did. Not a real meaning behind it, just a way to show that you were close to him enough to use this little so-called pet name.

Thatch was the one to always keep an eye on Marco and Ace when they got into their spats because somehow, in someway, someone was thrown overboard and needed to be saved. Deep down, Thatch always worried that one day he wouldn't be around if one were to fall in and he couldn't make it to them in time.
