Any with a 5!
thatfinnickkid didn’t even spell out the word “five”, but I am about to answer all of these questions in complete sentences? Smh.
5. I’m sure you picked “any with a 5″ to get several answers out of me without having to pick and choose which ones, but “Tell me about your favorite teacher” is a low-blow of a question. I mean, honestly, who wants to know about favorite teacher? I think I’d rather not think about my favorite teacher, simply because I have never liked school very much, and now that I am finally studying what I want to study, I find the word “teacher” only conjures up memories that smell like the back of public school math class, sitting between the guy who always brings cheetos, and the girl has an endless supply of kleenex in her purse, and sometimes they trade across my desk. No, I have a few favorite teachers. I think the most prominent is Mrs. Davis. She used to teacher choir before I had her, and I spent many summers with her teaching me how to sing like mt life depended on someone in the next cell hearing me, but that was before she was my teacher. She taught me in a class called “workshop”, and it was a vocal class of 10 to perform a capella music only, but most often in groups of five or less. I learned how to sing really well with just one or two other persons, regardless of their voice types, I could sound good with them, and that is what the class was all about. She’s my favorite because she instilled in me a sense of work and performance. She taught me how to take creative risks, and stick with my own sense of style. She showed me that my vision is an artist one, and if I have a feeling, no matter how strong, I should be firm in it because it is what makes me unique, and will make me “someone” someday if I allow it to. She also never put any unfinished work on stage, and that forever will be a part of me. I will never in my life allow unfinished work on stage. So yeah, she taught me how to sing a little better, but I think she really prepared me to appreciate art and be a performer. I think no matter where I land in life, I will use the life lessons she taught me to be a performer.
15. The things I find attractive in people definitely change over time. I thought I liked people who are polite, but I found that I only liked people who were polite because I thought it would impress my mother; I found this out after dating a polite guy whom I loathed because he was polite, but not kind. I do however like kind people a lot.I like to be inspired by someone. Unfortunately, if you really inspire me, it probably won’t work out. When people I am attracted to because they inspire me are also attracted to me, I honestly get really frightened, and we pretty much stop talking. That happened today actually (Sorry about standing you up at the Cheesecake Factory; it was a lot more emotionally stable for me to stay in bed today). But I am however really attracted to people that make me thing. Use an adjective I wasn’t expecting, and we can get married. I find that I am really attracted to people whose eyes I don’t see very often. Maybe you squint when you smile, or you don’t look at me very much, or I can’t stand to look at you, or you wear shades at night-- I am really attracted to you. People whose eyes I know really well honestly make me feel so self-conscious. I like looking at people, I hate making eye contact for more than two seconds. If you ever carry on a conversation with me in person, you’ll notice I will probably never look directly at you-- I’ll see you out of the corner of my eye, but I will lose track of what I am saying if I am trying to read your reaction between every word. I take in a lot tbh. I could probably make a list of turn-offs better than I could make a list of things that are attractive. I am so hesitant to say “yes!”, but I am well aware of when something is a “no”. I’m really attracted to people who remember things! Tiny things. Like what I said in passing last night. Or the name of our waiter. Or whether the new girl that came over for game night last weekend was vegetarian or vegan. But if you remember something better than I do, you better be able to describe it well enough to take me back to the time and place. I’m not a big fan of being unsure. I have a bad habit of tricking myself into being positive about something I have no clue about rather than admit to myself that I am unsure about something. That’s a pretty weak list, but it’s something. If you don’t like it, ask me to try again and I’ll see if I can come up with a different list of things.
25. I don’t wear glasses.
35. I have never been admitted to a hospital.
45. I do not come from a family of money.
50. Wow, those last three questions were also super weak. Damn. This last question is for five facts about myself, so it seems like five is the lucky number tonight. I honestly don’t know what to say. I usually always start with the same one because it gets the biggest reaction:1. I was raised with thirteen cats. No one ever asks me to name them, but they were Bitsy, Sunny, Dooger, Stacy, Smity, Motly, Pie, Cinderella, Frankie, Peaches, Boat, Lola, and Whisper. Now I have two dogs. I’m still a cat person tbh. 2. IF you ask me, that’s thirteen facts right there, but I’m not gonna cheat you out of four more, even those this is the hardest question.Mac&Cheese is my favorite food. One year for my birthday, completely unorganized, I received 23 family sized tupperware tubs of mac&cheese, because word had gotten around that it was my favorite, so everyone thought it was a good idea. I ate all of it. I don’t tell anyone when my birthday is anymore. 3. After I graduated middle school, I toured Great Britain to sing. 4. I hate wearing it but green is my favorite color. It became my favorite color because I felt like one day I should decide, and I couldn’t pick pink or purple because my concept of gender back then was so damn weak, and I knew I hated red and orange already, because red is the color of my skinned knees, and my brother had already picked orange as his favorite color. It really came down between yellow and blue and green. Yellow was pretty close to gold which was cool, but it was also the color of the sun, and you shouldn’t stare at that for too long. Plus the yellow power ranger is also a girl; took me forever to understand that because yellow isn’t a “girl color”. So yellow was right out. Blue is the color of water, and everyone needs that to live, so that’s pretty wicked. It’s also the color of sadness, but that didn’t bother me as a kid. Green is the color of grass, and tree leaves, and clovers, and money. So green won. Now I like it mainly because of camouflage pants with too many pockets and making my backyard look hella in Instagram selfies. 5. I’m going a little overboard with Tumblr lately. I’m in a weird mood and probably shouldn’t be on the internet. I would love for someone to call me out or message me on the reg. Hit me up if you’re game.
Xx, Benja

What's the meaning behind your URL?
Tbh, my sister had a toast related screen name when she was growing up, and she thought toast related screen names should run in the family. I don’t know if it’s the best idea she has ever had, but here we are.
Answer the ones with identical digits like 11 or 22 etc
Yeah, okay. I can do that. Here goes:
11. I find myself to be a pretty social person. Like 88%, I am socializing circles around most of ‘em. But I do have few weaknesses that make me seem a little reserved. One is that when I’ve got something on my mind, it’s hard for me to think about anything else, so I sometimes seem like I’m not really here when you talk to me in person. Two is that I am a big fan of writing paragraph-sized messages, so if you want to instant message me, I will totally let you try that, but I will often not message you back (immediately or at all) unless you fight really hard to engage me. Third, and probably lastly, I do not initiate anything; I’m pretty passive in most areas of my life, and starting conversation is one of them. If you want to talk to me, you should probably start it because I sure as hell won’t unless I have a really good reason to.
22. It can be cute when guys kiss me on the forehead, but it’s got to be the right moment, and don’t make a habit of it. I find it just a little demeaning if it’s not the right time or place. I personally usually save forehead kisses for guys I feel like I am supposed to kiss, but I really just want to stay friends with. I’m also taller than most of the guys that think about kissing me, so getting my forehead kissed doesn’t happen often.
33. I don’t not want to get my tongue pierced. I plan on having enough other things in my mouth, there just wouldn’t be room. (I think they are fine, I don’t find them unattractive, I just don’t know how I would look with one, and imagining it right now, I don’t know if I would like the feel of it. Since I probably wouldn’t see it often, the feel is probably the most important factor for me. I’d also probably play with it a ton, and there are enough other strange things I do with my face when I am idle.)
44. The best part about school is getting my creative work critiqued. For school, I am working on things I would probably be dreaming of in my free time anyway, so it is really just super helpful towards who I am as a person, and it helps me progress a lot of my own personal ambitions. It also provides me with a community of people that are struggling with the same things I am, and also are interested in the same things I am-- so it really helps me feel like I am not going through life completely alone.
55. I am super good at hiding my feelings, unless you’ve spent a lot a lot a lot of time around me. When people first meet me, I will admit that most of them tell me that I am “interesting/different-than-most-people/strange”. I am not boasting about this; I am acknowledging that perhaps I am unexpected for most people, and I am sorry about that honestly-- but it also makes it super hard to read my emotions. But when you get to know me, I have really obvious tells. (It’s in my eyes tbh.)
66. My next kiss, like 99% of my kisses, will be on purpose. (One guy forced a kiss on me as something he thought would be a “rough and romantic surprise”, but I punched him in the face because I didn’t consent to him kissing me. We were both surprised, so I think it’s even.)
77. Every relationship is worth it. There are no bad relationships; they are each intelligent and teach you something. I will never discredit any relationship I have ever had. That’s the truth of it.
88. If my “first true love” came to my door and apologized with presents-- well, if it’s really the first, then yes. They know a large part of me will always belong to them. If it’s the first that loved me back; no, you tried, I tried, we had our chance; we can be strangers, we can be associates, we can be strained friends, we cannot be in love again; you make me too ugly inside.
99. I have kissed someone older than me. More than once. No regrets.
I hope this is what you were looking for, Love!I always see you in my notes, I hope to hear from you more often perhaps?Xx, Benja
