I’m a vulture, and death follows where I go.” She pulled the little girl closer to her, burying her head in her smooth brown locks. “Vultures are also a symbol of rebirth.”Asteria protested quietly, wrapping her little arms around Rosalyn’s neck and resting her head on her shoulder. “Death comes, and life blooms again. Mama used to say it to me.” Her soft voice was fierce and protective, a small politician defending a cause she held dear. “You can’t be just death, great grandma. If you were, none of us would be here today.”

Ooh that’s so interesting?? Now I’m curious to know what’s the reason for the decay!Rosalyn has demon blood running through her veins, and her necklace is enchanted to keep at bay… and force the corruption back when she loses control.

17. How do they make a living? What kind of job do they want / not want? What is their dream job? What do they think of their current job?

As a noblewoman, Eirwen’s money comes from her family’s lands and business ventures, being her house’s city a large and important port, home to Hyranser’s Merchant Guild and the enormous Luthon Bank. Her dream job was to be an advisor to the crown and work on foreign affairs. which she eventually achieved by becoming Hyranser’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, traveling the world striking deals and working as a diplomat.

18. What are your OC’s greatest fears? Weaknesses? Strengths?

Her greatest fear is her own father. Understand: He had no qualms about killing Eira’s mother when she was no longer useful, and he wouldn’t think twice about killing Eirwen, too. That’s what he had a second son for, anyway. She’s often unsure and scared, insecure about herself and terrified of speaking up her mind, preferring to just stay silent. Her strength? This is a girl who saw her mother killed, who lived under a horrible father and managed to remain kind. Eira has this inner strength not to give in to despair other characters lack, being also efficient at dispelling situations without the use of violence.

19. What kind of music do they listen to? Do they have a favorite song?

Classical Music! She does, a song composed for the piano by King Lezard to his beloved wife, the Queen Elethyia.

20. If they came from their world to ours (if not already in our’s) how would they react? What would they do?

Utter shock and bewilderment! Eira comes from a world where magic and the gods are very much real, where firearms like the musket and hand-cannon aren't even a thing yet! Scared half to the death, she'd be curious to see how this world works, how different it is from hers. Eira would probably go to a museum.

21. What personal problems/issues do they have? Pet peeves?

There’s her issues with her father, which brings her no small amount of anxienty, more so her problems with controlling her powers. Pet peeves? Hmm, she likes her things to be organized in color.

22. What kind of student were they/would they be in high school?

The girl sitting at the front row, dilligently writing everything the teachers say and taking part in the discussion. Not part of the populars, a honor student part of the debate club or other academic club. 

23. What is a random fact about your OC?

Loves paintings and drawings, but her own are atrocious at best.

 24. What is their outlook on life? What is their philosophy / what do they think in general about living?

Ever the optimist, trying to convince herself that all’s going to be well, and that she can’t let the darkness turn her into something she isn’t. Sure, Eira gets less idealistic- what with a war and all that-  but she still tries to live by these rules. There’s good in the world, and fighting isn’t always the right solution.

42. Does your character have any scars? Where did they get them from? 

Yes, she does! At fourteen, Rosalyn failed spectacularly at casting a spell, with disastrous consequences: she ended up summoning a demon, and in the ensuing fight its sharp, large claws hit the right side of her face. They’re long claw marks... And they aren’t pretty to look at.

43. What was the most offensive thing your character had ever said?

Ooh, tough one! But I’d say it was probably, in her rage, calling Queen Elayne an incestuous whore. It may not seem that offensive until one learns that the Queen had little choice and was a victim of emotional and sexual abuse. Rosalyn never, ever forgave herself for saying such things to Elayne

46. Your character is given a voodoo doll of themself. What do they do with it? Do they see if it actually works?

No, she doesn’t see if it works. Rosalyn would bring the doll to her magic teacher, Liesl Amrös, and ask her for a safe way to dispose of the thing.

1. The youngest of the three Feavërsein siblings, Alethea survived by the combined sacrifices of Maevis and Diarmad. Maevis chose to use her magic to protect her sister rather than herself, and he bought her the time she needed to do so.2. Her best friends growing up were her cousins: resilient, down to earth and quiet Freyja; boisterous, cheerful, ever-optimistic Sigyn.3. Can talk to her dead ancestor through dreams. Alethea thought most of the time they were full of shit and confusing advice. She tried to be better when was her time to offer advice to the living.4. Loved the colour red and most of wardrobe was in those shades. Who needs variation, after all?5. Slept with a knife under the pillow and poison by her bedside.
