Mkaio, an electronic music artist currently working out of Salt Lake City, released this four-track EP on June 6th of 2014, which he describes as “an atheist artist’s modern electronic re-imagining of The Garden of Eden tale [which] chronicles a creation, conjunction, expulsion, and revelation of a new love in a new world.”
Mkaio, aka Matt, describes himself as “an indie gay artist [and] a bedroom producer on a literal shoe-string budget.” You wouldn’t know that Mkaio works on a low budget because The Devil Lived is a gorgeous, evocative set that finds him bringing together varied influences to create luscious soundscapes and a brief but compelling narrative.
