I've had this idea for months and I finally wanted to pursue it !!
This fandom is one of my favorites in terms of the creative space; I am in love with how you can tell what particular aspects of the game each artist picked up on most from their artwork and character designs; as well as their own personal tastes and takes of the game!
So, here are all the Drivers I could pull up from tag searching!
I had almost no information about heights besides me and my buddy's Drivers, so I went off vibes - sorry if it's wildly inaccurate </3

I have a lot to say about the individual Drivers that I'm putting below the cut :]
Lithium - HOLY SHIT I THINK YOUR DESIGN IS MY FAVORITE I'VE EVER SEEN. THIS INCLUDES MINE. I love your Driver's little flower crown, and their hood, and omg the strands from their gloves to their jacket AUG. they are SUCH a critter i am in loveee with what you put into this
Glitch - I said this in my reblog of your art but O M G i looove your pixel artstyle. It reminds me of this very particular emotion I sometimes get from this game of my childhood. It was so fun translating your style to mine to draw Vix <3. I love how their hair matches with their Remnant, you said - that's so rad.
Astru - Your Driver very specifically brings back memories of playing post-apocalyptic games with my friends when wildfires out here got close - smoke so thick for days on end you could barely see 20 feet ahead of you and your eyes stung after a while. Their padding made them very angular to draw and their HAIR THEIR HAIR was sooo fun to mess with. Since the reference image didn't have anything below the middle, I made pants based off their shirt and vest.
Gruvu - I fuckin love your Driver and seeing more of this guy whenever I go into the tags, he seems like such a bundle of good vibes. He reminds me of the people I'd talk to at truck stops doing yearly cross-country roadtrips from 4-11 while my mom was in the restroom.
I actually had a different idea for this project I ended up scrapping [maybe ill pick it up again because GOD this was fun], BUT !! i made it far enough to draw a singular Driver - yours !! Maybe I'll finish just this frame someday >:]
Wasn't sure what color some of his later clothes were either - hope it's okay I took some creative liberties !
Olympic - I really hope I did Mars justice, I had more trouble translating design points than I usually do. I LOVED drawing them though, and I wouldn't be surprised if I draw them again in the future! I love their entire outfit and hair and VIBE. IT IS IMMACULATE. if i saw them on the street my jaw would drop, gosh.
I got about halfway through your section before I realized you made Mars a Driver ! [At least from what I read. If I interpreted wrong they're the honorary mostly-regular guy] Here's the scrapped wip of the Driver present in your tardigrade artwork. I may finish it by itself sometime.
Was going to do a whole new sketch, but I thought using the old one and having Mars hold a Bubblegum would be cute.
Creature - man what haven't I said about Tex? LMAOO sorry friend I think you're gonna end up with the shortest message </3. One thing I know for sure is I have been MISSING OUT on drawing them, their design is so fun. and another thing ill say is THEIR FEET ARE SO HARD TO DRAW IM SORRY IF I FUCKED IT UP </////333
Fire - I was really struggling with your Driver's face and hair, I hope it looks good !! I looovee their whole cloak-hood thing, its so nice! They look so cool in your artstyle. I can see them running through the OEZ forests at break-neck speeds

I've had this story in my head since the day the game came out, and the couple weeks it took me to finish the story, so it's awesome to be able to share the whole thing on ao3 !!
