My favorite thing about being The Fairy Boy is when people find out and they're all, "Oh fairies?"
And I get the pure joy of being like, "No. Fairies."
#I mean the folklorically accurate ones#you're thinking of the ones popularized by the Cottingley Fairy Hoax#I'm talking about the real ones#the each-uisge#gwyn ap nudd#the cwn annwfn#bwbachoid#gancanach#nuckleavee (do NOT say it's name out loud) EVER#white stag#tuatha de#fomorians#i LOVE the folkloric ones#grew up with them#there are stories in my family of them#excluding my own experiences#of which there are MANY#but like#my grandparents had stories#my great grandma had stories#like basically every person in my family has had a run in at least once#mind#there are hundrends if not thousands of “species” of fairies#and even more cultural/ regional variants#these are just a few of my faves/ the ones I always think of#and the tylwyth teg of course ✨️#the tylweth teg have been good to me#as well as the tuatha de#tho#they dont always specify themselves by our words for them
