Okay wait so re: dean is in the empty theory- do you think both dean and cas are in the empty and then what does that even mean as far as getting out? did he go to the empty at the same moment as cas?
Oh I didn’t think about that, I just think that when Dean died in the finale he didn’t go to heaven or hell or purgatory - but to the empty.
The tragedy would be the two of them laying next to each other, sleeping, dreaming of their regrets and not knowing where they really are and how close they are.
As for them getting out, idk, something something profound bond making them wake up and then the empty either kicks them out or they use Cas’ grace to somehow get out? Oh, but if Dean did got to the Empty because there was still some demon soul in him (according to my theory) I am thinking a Purgatory scenario - Benny said the place was basically fighting to yeet Dean out because he didn’t belong there; what if the Empty is similar and having a human inside would by itself create a portal to spit said human out. But it’s not Dean who is a full human in this scenario, it’s going to be Cas after he gives up his grace...
