I was experimenting with DNC glams when this song came on my shuffle. I realized for the first time that it was a very Fal sort of song, and then the light at The Final Prayer happened to be perfect.

Fal’s adopted mother was a devout worshiper of Azeyma, and used to wake him every morning at dawn to join her in singing a sacred hymn to raise Her into the sky.  As a very young child he believed in this little ritual of theirs so much that thought the sun wouldn’t come up at all unless he and his mother sang to it.

His faith has been deeply shaken since then, but on most days he still wakes up early to sing that same hymn, in spite of himself.
