It was cool to see this clothesline nest of Old World brown paper wasps (Ropalidia revolutionalis) at The Forts on Magnetic Island (at the gun post). These paper wasps are known to make long, stick-like nests that may(?) be difficult to attack by larger hornets. I guess when you need to make such a thin nest larger, you either make it really long or break it into a bunch of nearby pieces.
