current messy doodles for a very very vague tf2 steven universe au.......

disclaimers and clarifications!!:

this won't be a very fleshed out au!!!! the only ideas i have are just for whatever would be fun to draw! and what i wanna draw are designs and fusions, so thats what im focusing on!!

but if you want a proper tf2 su au check out @/lenny-link's!!!! its fleshed out and has some super super good gem and fusion designs. theyre on hiatus atm but they've got a proper story for the au go look at it

i have a few little ideas for backstory stuff for each merc, but its all very disconnected, so heres some bullet points

Scout is a Blue Aventurine. He was meant to come out all big and strong like his brothers(? steven universe equivalent of siblings, at least. like the famethyst) but came out all scout-like. In this AU he's still the runt of his group

Miss Pauling is a diamond, violet diamond, but is treated more like a pearl by bigger diamonds like admin and saxton.

She is told to disguise herself as a kunzite gemstone and go to earth to keep an eye on this au's version of the crystal gems: heavy and some of the other mercs or something. Scout goes with her also

There's no one to one gem to merc equivalent BUT: Pauling and Scout are Rose/Pink and Pearl. Heavy is like Rose 'cause he's the leader. Pauling is also like Peridot, sort of apprehensive about earth.

I'm way to indecisive to choose one merc to be human or half-human, so it'll probably just depend on whatever i wanna draw

that's pretty much it for all the things I know for certain!! i have been drawing gem mercs non stop for like three days now i gotta get these out of my system lol

the hypothetical steven universe x tf2 au still lives on in my brain i've just been procrastinating it terribly. redrew everyones designs like a million times this is the first time im colouring anyone but scout. gemgineer. he makes me cry because of how gooey he is

ENGINEER: Amber, he has limb enhancers that make him just about taller than scout + little bee wings :), gem on his diaphragm(? i think? above the navel but bellow the chest)

PYRO: Red Tigers Eye, gem on right side of face

SCOUT: Blue Aventurine, but he's like skinny jasper, regular Aventurine (his brothers??? i think) are much bigger, gem on left thigh

SOLDIER: Carnelian, gem on the left of his chest

SPY: Black Rutile, gem on left shoulder

MEDIC: Pink Thulite, limb enhancers to be more intimidating + closer to heavy in height, gem on collar

DEMO: Pink Labradorite, gem on left eye

SNIPER: Brown Tourmaline, gem on left hand

HEAVY: White Quartz, gem on forehead

In the future i'll make a better post with more information about fusions cause at the moment all i have is a sketch of soldier/engineer fusion and the gem for heavy/medic fusion.

fanart or fan fusions or whatever are sososo so so appreciated and beautiful and incredible. go ham if you would like. pls @ me if you happen to do anything 🙏🙏🙏
