Happy (belated) birthday to Captain Lottie!! 🌊
Hello helloooo. It’s yap o’clock so please don’t mind that haha. This here is my final for my drawing class I’ve been taking and more importantly the subject is my D&D character, Lottie.
I don’t think I’ve really talked about any OCs here yet but I really want to! I’ve had Lottie for just about 2 years now and they now live in my head despite the dozens of eviction notices.
Captain Lottie is an absolute menace but gawd I love them very much and they have a very special place in my heart. My class was instructed to make a series of works to show some sort of narrative progression. The first drawing here is Lottie at 17. They’re not very experienced as a wizard, and generally still finding their path in life. This event depicted here was a huge turning point for them. It was when they took over the ship that they are now the Captain of. It was a very bloody and chaotic encounter, and with the expression and colors I wanted to show their distress.
The second piece is supposed to be them at 25. They’re currently a lvl 6 wizard and have been the captain of their ship for the past 8 years. They’ve also had…. a few alignment shifts. I wanted to show how they’ve become more apathetic to their actions. They’re still a very fiery and temperamental person, but battles like this are more of an inconvenience than anything else.
There’s a lot more that I could point out here, but I’ll just let it speak for itself. I’m pretty happy with these drawings and I’m glad I used this concept. I may redo this someday when I have more time, but I still really enjoy it.
I fucking hate Lottie but they’ve also become one of my fav characters to play & draw & write for and I adore them and their goofy ass crew. Maybe I’ll talk more about them at some point, but if any oomfs wanna talk about them or D&D or anything feel free to dm me!!! I promise I don’t bite!! I will happily yap about OCs and D&D and such with anyone!!! :D
N e ways I think that’s about all I have to say. I don’t think I’m gonna be super super active on this account (not posting art at least) but I’m in a really really good mood and I love Lottie and also OH THATS THE WHOLE POINT IT WAS THEIR BDAY YESTERDAY OOPS! HBD LOTTIE!!
