i am emotionally and socially age 8-12. it makes me sad because i am an adult. but really it makes me sad i can’t describe myself this way without people being mean to me or being fetishized.

Fetishization is often hard to deal with, same with people being mean towards you. I hope spaces become more safer to describe self in such ways.

The IDD experience is watching intellectual disability be talked about more outside of ableist conversations and being included more and more as time goes on.

This is solidarity and positivity! I'd been noticing this more as well. Which makes me happy, cause, the community is 'rarer' to see for me, but now it has been brighter and bigger. :)

Alongside more inclusion of us, for example, in a Tumblr community for disablity cooking, people with IDDs are included there! Which made me so so happy!

The Idd experience is having a supportive close one who once u opened up to about having an intellectual disability not treating u any different and further accommodating you :]

This is the experience of IDDs and solidarity with it!

hello mod kirby! a while ago on your other blog on the blog this is anti IDD i sent about a ex roommate and the ableism from them and how it made me feel. well things are going very good so good that guess what? i got into college! it will be tough but i am excited to try my best and learn!

Hello anon! Wow that's amazing and I'm very glad for you! Getting into college is often a big deal for people.

I'm currently in my career center classes (and regular classes too) and we're in the game development unit now! Which we'd been excited for, so I'll say that's an aspect going well. Plus new plushie and another dice set for me. :)
