Thinking about how a theme of Liam’s The Lonely Bug collection is the power of embracing your inner child…also thinking about how Louis always tried to make liam feel better onstage with water fights…

Seeing that “rather be at Disney” post going around: yes, you bet I’d rather be. There are so many of you who I want to meet (and several in particular), but that’s problematic when one or both parties can’t afford to travel to one coast or the other. *sigh*
Just to clarify my situation: though I have no income, in a pinch, I could dump what amounts to my savings (a Roth IRA that I haven’t done anything with in the 10 years I’ve had it), and I’d be there in Orlando with the rest of you. But there are two problems with this:
My parents would probably be upset, especially my dad, who financed it in the first place. It’s not much, really (not even enough to lease a car), but the original intent was to invest it, and I’m lazy and never got around to that. XD
It may still not be enough. Take out the cost of airfare (fairly expensive) and park pass(es) (God only knows how much those cost), and what could possibly be left for lodging, food, and merch? Not much, I’ll tell you that.
By the time next summer rolls around, I will (hopefully) not be shackled by CC obligations anymore, but my parents will in all likelihood be doubling down on pressuring me to find work, qualified or not. So they’d see me raiding savings and running off the week before Thanksgiving (for example) as selfish and avoiding responsibility, again. The fallout from running off to D23 in August will be bad enough.
Sorry for the rant, but I had to get it off my chest.
I would give anything to mean something to someone, more than just a friend. Anyone.
I'm so lonely, but I feel like I'm just a nuisance.

My 35th birthday is a week from today. Far from being excited, I just continue to be depressed and unhappy about it.
I feel like I’m being selfish by asking for literally anything, especially from you guys. But when the time comes... I could use something to cheer me up. The virtual company of my friends sounds nice.
There are few things I cherish more than having friends. As someone who is very introverted, I desperately do not want to lose them. And yet, my garbage brain always fears that I will.
I'm angrier than ever at our joke of a Congress, which probably doesn't surprise any of you. I just feel that there's no hope for justice in this country, anymore.
This is on top of being depressed and painfully lonely, especially this time of year. I have other friends to talk with, and do, but the one I want to talk with most...
I've kept a low profile on here for the last two months, as a form of penance, but it feels like nothing’s changed. I just wish I knew whether it's worth it. Whether I can have that friendship again.
I need a hug. And unfortunately, there's no chance of that.
