The weather outside was perfect as we walked among the fat cats of Phoenix at Symphony Hall. She was lovely, and radiated something special that doesn’t come around very often. And for my first time, I took in each and every note of this brilliantly performed Shostakovich show. It was exhilarating.
The vibrant atmosphere of the Lost Leaf in downtown's Art District then invited us in. We drank White Chocolate Ale and sat through the ranting of Rodzilla The Experience, a summer of love veteran. A talented local band played their noise for all the lively souls that managed to squeeze into that place. It was enjoyable.
Painting was now ahead of us as we headed back west. I mixed my palette as she sat beautifully on the couch looking on. Recharging and preparing herself, for the peaceful sounds she would then play me on her guitar. Eventhough she didn't play much you can always tell when someone loves doing something, and there it was. I love that, and could've listened to her all night. It was fascinating.
The night then dwindled down in the best way as we sunk into the couch together. Whether this night continues to something more, or merely remains a glimpse of how great particular nights and encounters can be. I'm happy, I felt her heart smile, and I don’t doubt that she felt mine. It was nice.
