saw two new movies today: The Mist and Whiplash. neither were movies I would typically watch, but they were both well done. The Mist definitely was not for me — constantly tense and stressful, targeted one of my biggest real life frustrations, and I hated the ending. Whiplash was good. left me with things to think about. probably wouldn’t watch it again unless someone invited me to watch with them, but still good, GREAT music naturally. loaded nachos (& strawberries)

Stephen King is from Maine. A friend and colleague who is also a native Mainer always likes to say that Stephen King writes nonfiction.
It does swing from gorgeous to creepy here pretty quickly.
