What a special day to celebrate the brilliant talent who keeps redefining himself! This week has been intense and unforgettable, especially for us fans!

Rehearsals for Ralph’s opera directing debut Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin at the Palais Garnier in Paris are in full swing, and the buzz is electric! 🎶This isn’t just a production announcement anymore,!we already see Ralph deeply immersed in the creative process, shaping staging, tone, and dramatic pacing with his signature artistic sensitivity. Conductor Semyon Bychkov, who has shared glimpses and photos from rehearsals, is right alongside him, working with the cast and orchestra to bring Tchaikovsky’s emotional world to life. From intimate character moments to sweeping ensemble pieces, the rehearsal room is alive with ideas, collaboration, and passion as Ralph guides singers through the delicate balance of drama and lyricism in this classic score.

For Ralph, this project is especially meaningful: Eugene Onegin was already close to his heart long before this staging, and rehearsals now are a fascinating glimpse of his artistic transition from screen and stage acting to opera direction.

We’ve been buzzing about 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - the upcoming horror sequel where he returns as Dr. Ian Kelson. The film has been described by Empire/Jack O’Connell as the “weird, demented cousin” to the 28 franchise: bold, unpredictable, and definitely not what you expect, and we are so here for it! Critics and early reactions are already calling The Bone Temple breathtaking and one of the most exciting horror films in years, spotlighting Ralph’s performance as something truly special in the genre.

Now, we are all aware of how weird I can be watching ballets. But did you know it go as far as watching Onegin be sat side-stage, playing cards THE WHOLE TIME no matter what’s happening elsewhere on the stage? Watching Onegin playing (or fucking trying to play) cards during the Tatiana’s solo? Not really looking what she is doing, because hey, I have but one set of eyes. No? Well, now you do. (And it’s not like I’m casually telling this to every single person I meet…)

BUT, it is one of the most important bits in creating Onegin’s character and showing who he is by not only what he’s doing, but also (and more importantly) how he chooses to do it. And I could write fucking trilogies on this man (full stop) and his playing cards, because let me tell you, it’s a fucking masterclass
