Digging up backlogs of unposted stuff from 2019/2020 and realised I don’t think I ever really explained the sonic fan character in my literal blog header thing??? So yeah!!! He’s an artificial tenrec infused with Plax DNA. The Plax were a bit like the Black Arms for the UKs old Sonic the Comic print series: They were an alien hive mind on the planet reaping its resources, to make more of themselves, and similarly they ended up being almost completely wiped out. Their whole gimmick was that they’re composed of ‘plastic’ cells that will always reorganise back into Plax even if distorted, scattered, or blended together from several Plax. The magical macguffin that lets them do that is a mineral/crystal called Magnaz imbued into the cells of each Plax. TLDR this fanchar is just Shadow, if Shadow had been based on the Plax instead of the Black Arms! He’s on Mobius to collect Magnaz to fuel his parent species, and to fight anyone that tries to stop him... Luckily for him literally nobody cares about the Magnaz: Because Mobians don't even know what it is generally, let alone use it. So in this AU he just gathers his crystals from a desert zone and lives with a hedgehog lady and her kid in exchange for chores.
