The pounce

It came from behind! It came alive and it was just the right shock! Like click, click, POP! Undertones of the clock closing in on the time. I'm in lock, I'm in shock. I pounce, I pounce! She has no idea, hahaha. And just like that, that lock. Such a powerful short shift lifting shock. She thought she had the upper hand and with the swift lift of my hand, I pounced two quick steps into her hands. That airplane we thought to have found land, met its quick crash. Like the kite we set flight, it ignites and burns bright in this forever aging light.
