Ninjago going viral in early 2026 was not on my bingo card

Here's my Morro centric au where he's The Preeminent and Dragons Rising is rewritten to be like Bloodborne.

Here's some light trivia:

Basically anything he touches with the ghostly parts disintegrates like he's Shigaraki from mha.

He also has to constantly consume souls or else he starves.

Really good at wielding a spear and scythe.

He can shapeshift into a mini Preeminent and other stuff like animals and eldritch horrors (as he gains experience)

Kinda overpowered (bc its my boy) but he's constantly starving and nerfed as hell since as the new preeminent he has no control or dominion over any souls so its ok

His face is actually modelled after inuits! (His secret roots wooo)

I'll spare yall the yappucino (unless it turns out yall actually like ts) this is basically a dragons rising rewrite where The spectral lands are a lot larger and function more like a torturous prison for lost souls. Morro is The new Preeminent after the merge but he doesn't know it at the beginning.

This is as of now a 10k word fic that I probably will hoard forever just like I do with my art (u need to euthanize me chat I fear idk y I do this)

So we all know how Morro deluded himself into thinking that cursing all 16 (technically 17) realms and defeating Lloyd would magically make him the Green Ninja.

What if he had succeeded?

What if he successfully unleashed the Preeminent and no one was able to stop it? The Ninja are out of the picture, the plan worked, and he’s the "Green Ninja".

…Then what? What would he have done with the rest of his existence?

The Cursed Realm sucked, and now thanks to him, everywhere is cursed the same way. It’s like he’s trapped all over again.

People will despise and fear him. Sure, there will be people that submit to him out of fear. But there will just as many that openly reject him. "The Green Ninja was a hero!! He was kind and selfless!! You ruined our lives!! And for WHAT?!"

They call him many things. Liar. Villain. Demon. Monster.

Claiming the title should’ve been a victory. He took what should’ve been his in the first place.

So why did he feel like an imposter?

As time passes, the euphoria and triumph will fade, leaving emptiness and dread.

Then comes the devastating revelation.

He never wanted this.

But it’s too late. The Queen of the Cursed rules all, and cares not for the tiny ghost she molded into the perfect tool.

Realm Avatars and the Source Council.

A Realm Avatar is the Living incarnation of a realm. They are made to personify the realms and protect it from its own destruction. Realm Avatars are divine in nature and are even considered Gods. Their connection to the realm is so deep that if they were to die, the realm they embody dies with them. 

17 Realm Avatars are known to exist. It is possible for one to ascend to a Realm Avatar. After the realms were merged into one, the Realm Avatars believed their presence was no longer required and left to form the Source Council. (Replacement for Source Dragons) But not everyone was invited. 

 First Realm - Female Avatar that takes the form of a large red golden dragon. Firstborn, Goddess of Creation, Mother to all Dragons. Left the realms to join the Source Council. 

Departed Realm - Male Avatar that takes the form of a Horned Giant. Black fur, four arms, four eyes and multiple horns. God of Destruction and Father to the Oni. Is rumored to have ascended from the first Oni to a Realm Avatar after the Departed Realm was created. Left the realms to join the Source Council. However, his ascension left a power vacuum within the Spectral Lands. Thunderfang quickly took control.

Wyldness - Female Avatar that takes the form of a large red fire griffin. Mother Sun, Goddess of Sun and Fire, Mother to the Phoenixes. Left the Realms to join the Source Council. When the Merge happened all the suns merged into one making her incredibly powerful. 

Ninjago - Male Avatar that takes the form of giant golden samurai. Triton. Formally the God of Volcanoes. He is now a God of the Elements. Embodies six elemental powers such as fire, earth, lighting, ice, wind and water. Left the Realms to join the Source Council. Is indebted to the Ninja. 

Djinjago - Female Avatar that takes the form of a two headed, four armed Naga or a two faced Djinn. Can shapeshift between the two forms. Fo-Tang, Goddess of Fusion and wishes. Defeated Thunderfang a long time ago but the battle resulted in Fo-Tang being split into two. Sometime after the battle she was cursed by the Preeminent. Is currently imprisoned.

Imperium - Male Avatar that takes the form of blue and yellow Dragon Feline. Electron, God of Lighting. He was invited to join the Source Council but was captured and imprisoned before he could leave. 

Never-Realm - Female Avatar that takes the form of an ice dragon. Fubuki, Goddess of Winter. Left the Realms to join the Source Council. 

Unknown Forest Realm (Whispering Woods?)- Female Avatar that takes the form of a Nature Dragon. Mother Nature, Goddess of life and Nature, Mother of the Sproutlings. Has a daughter named Eden who speaks on her behalf. Left the Realms to join the Source Council. 

Unknown SteamPunk water Realm - Female Avatar that takes the form of a water dragon. Amfedna, Goddess of Water and Oceans. Left the Realms to join the Source Council. 

Underworld - Male Avatar that takes the form of a humanoid skeleton with a draconic head. Wear a black coat that covers most of his body and underfold like wings. Yang'atoast, God of Death. Left the Realms to join the Source Council but still maintains his duty as guardian of the deceased.

Realm of Madness - Male Avatar that takes the form a Black Crystal Dragon. Obsidian, God of Strength, Stone and Mountains. Left the Realm to join the Source Council.

Mysterium - Female Avatar that takes the form of a multi-colored purple Wyvern. Melissa, Goddess of Magic. Left the Realms to join the Source Council

Realm of Spherus Magna (Realm of biomechanical beings) (Hero Factory X Bionicle) - Male Avatar that takes the form of a giant Biomech. Mata Nui, God of light, Unity and spirits. Left the Realms to join the Source Council. 

Cloud Kingdom - Female Avatar that takes the form of a three headed woman with both spider like features and angel like features. Moirai, Goddess of destiny. Left the Realms to join the Source Council.

Curse Realm - Female Avatar that takes the form of a Eldritch slime beast with multiple teeth, multiple tentacles and one giant eye. Preeminent, Goddess of the Damn. She was not invited to the Source Council and when she forced her way in she was exiled from the Council.

Realm of Monsters - Male Avatar that takes the form of a crab with nine serpent heads and a humanoid figure hidden in a flesh flower. Typhon Lee, God of Terror and Father of Monsters. Foreigners from other realms who saw him were terrified. So he uses illusions to appear friendly. But he is also a devourer of memories and his appetite would leave people as mindless shells. He decided to create cities, killing Titanium boas and resurrecting them as undead traveling vessels to home his cities of people. So that he would have an endless supply of memories to feed upon. He was not invited to the Source Council.

Unknown Realm - Male Avatar that takes the forms of a silver and gold dragon. Bai’ulgen, God of Balance. Before the merge he was killed by a mortal, resulting in the destruction of his realm.

Since Morro Smith never died, the Preeminent tries to persuade him to help her by haunting his mirror. She uses a humanoid form so she doesn't scare him.

He usually keeps the curtain closed so she can't bother him.
