Viviane D’Ambrosio was an Ambitious Sim, with a deep sense of responsibility. She loved a man who believed in living easy… and she kept believing he’d grow into the life she was building.
Pedro Vadez wasn’t cruel. But he was comfortable. And comfort can be its own kind of violence. 🥀

So... Pedro became the neighborhood dealer.
I don’t know why he’s always trying to prove people right. And as much as I hate what he’s doing (especially because weed isn’t legal in Oasis Springs right now), I can’t argue with the money coming into his bag. Those rich kids from Parched Prospect are eating right out of his hand.
But I can’t lie either: most of the work with the weed is done by me.
I weed the plants, water them, keep pests out. I buy the fertilizer and actually apply it. Pedro cures the buds and sells them.
I enjoy gardening, it’s not a big deal. But sometimes I wish he’d at least wake up while I’m doing it. Even just to have breakfast going and exchange a few words before I leave for the store.
Oh right. I forgot to write this down. I got a second job at the Rat-Tail Store… and I’m actually doing good. They said if I keep it up on the floor and work on my people skills, I can move to the customer service desk soon. Which would be nice. Less running around, less standing until my feet feel like they’re gonna fall off.
At KG Burger, I think I’ve hit the ceiling. I’m a cashier now, and unless I suddenly become the owner, that’s probably as high as I’m getting.
I’m overwhelmed all the time. I worry about Pedro. I worry about me.
I feel like I’m working constantly, even when I’m home. Like the second I walk through the door, I just… switch to a different shift.
This morning I stood outside and smoked a cigarette while looking at Pedro’s truck. It’s stupid, but I felt relieved seeing it sitting there. At least he’s not driving it all day looking for trouble anymore. At least I can borrow it to get to work.
I can’t help but wonder… is this really it? Does loving someone flawed mean I have to carry everything: the worrying, the working, the fixing? There has to be more to life than this. Why can’t I be more like Pedro and just… take things less seriously? Trust that it will be just fine?
Is getting to the top even worth it?
Why does it feel like I’m doing all this for nothing?
Pedro's Interview Transcript:
PEDRO: Not gonna lie, patrón… (drag) la verdad, my life was pretty good there for a while.
PEDRO: Waking up with no alarm. Breakfast on the table. My cariño’s perfume still in the air. Easy mornings. Special pictures in my DMs… tú sabe’.
PEDRO: Then one of my clients would hit me up, they would come over or we’d meet at the gym. Discreto, tranqui. No problems on either side.
PEDRO: And we’d work out too, so I was keeping things tight. Plus… the ladies were noticing.
J. Huntington III Interview:
