The Make-A-List To Do stamp by the small object.
What can I dooooo?
I get this question constantly from a certain almost-4-year-old, and this is one activity that's saved me a few times:
Paper dolls, made with doll outlines from The Small Object. You can find them here:
http://kiddley.com/2006/12/12/dress-up-paper-doll-and-ornament/
These are so simple and so much fun to dress with clothes made from bits of cloth, paint colour sample chips, or patterned papers. They look cute with bits of string for hair too.
Ahhh, nothing like a nice messy craft table. Now, if I can just find something to occupy Axel with- he's very angry right now because I took him away from electrical cords and put a suitcase in front of them to block his way. He tried to go around and got stuck under a stool...even angrier. Maybe he's ready for paper dolls??
Yes! A tutorial on how to make Anni Albers' genius washers necklace (which I pictured in my prior post here). Now I can finally make it. Courtesy of The Small Object, found via Mildly Interesting Adventures.
Washer Necklace Tutorial | The Small Object
You might have seen a while ago a bracelet made from hex nuts - if not, search for it in Explore, you will love it! This necklace is along the same lines, using a mix of hardware and ribbon to create a truly lovely piece. If you're not a lover of washers, you could have a look in Spotlight or Lincraft for flat beads with a hole in the middle.
