The Sunpilots Release New Album
In 2010 critically acclaimed Australian band THE SUNPILOTS said goodbye to family and friends and boarded a plane for Europe, aiming to conquer European stages. They chose Berlin for their new home where they live "Rolling Stones" style in one flat. But to be honest, they spend more time in their 1996 VW Transporter, touring from Wednesday till Monday every week. They have travelled more than 100.000 kms, and have played more than 160 shows and 17 festivals across the continent since September 2010. The band is currently finishing a 3-week tour of France and will be heading to Poland later this week. The Sunpilots’ 2nd album ‘King of the Sugarcoated Tongues’ will be released on April 27th. A concept album set in a dystopian future where society has collapsed, ‘King of the Sugarcoated Tongues’ is an 8 chapter story about the human need for security and the freedoms we are willing to trade in return. The story begins on Friday March 2nd when the first chapter is released as a free download, new chapters following weekly until April 27th when the entire album will be released as a free download. Additionally ‘King of the Sugarcoated Tongues’ will be available as a digipack in stores from April 27th.
