My Thoughts on Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival (Specifically about "Translations")

Ok so let me preface this by saying I am not the most familiar with The Devils Carnival and its lore, I have only watched the second movie. However I have some thoughts on The Translators Batez and Bentz

So, Heaven is quite clearly corrupt to some extent, right? With what is essentially it's police force to my understanding being free to commit cruelty and beat people as they wish. Not to mention the control of knowledge, with the banned books and how they lead to the fall of June. And so I ask: Is that possibly why they are called the Translators, and why they call what they do Translating?

Heaven likes to act and present as pure and holy, and to explicitly say that their officers are beating people for the sake of information would ruin that image. That's why they call it translating, to mask what is happening and make it sound less brutal.

Not to mention the promo video that introduces the two, where Batez lists a number of things and Bentz describes them as translations, however it seems to be a random list of actions and doesn't line up with what translating is presented as in the film. This, I believe, is to further the masking of their actions, by broadening the definition of a "translation" and making it unclear what it exactly means, it makes it harder to pick apart that it refers to the torment of people. It's another way of controlling the information that spreads, as seen with the banned books
