On this day 20 years ago, Dropkick Murphys released their fifth studio album The Warrior's Code. 🥊

The album features one of the band's biggest and most well known singles, "I'm Shipping Up to Boston," becoming a hit after being featured in the Oscar-winning movie The Departed and its soundtrack. It was also certified gold by the RIAA and its bonus track, "Tessie", reached No. 89 on the U.S. Modern Rock chart.

The original version was released in 2004, it was re-recorded for their 2005 gold-selling album “The Warrior's Code”. It was used on the soundtrack of the 2006 film "The Departed" directed by Martin Scorsese.
