There is no written and verified story regarding the origin of House Rennard, but it goes something like this:
Long ago, there was a skinchangers that lived in the Wolfswood, a woman who could turn into a fox and caught her prey by weaving clever traps that killed them quickly...

The Wolfswood is a forest in the North. It is located just north of Winterfell and extends for some three hundred miles north and west to the Bay of Ice. The Wolfswood is so-named for the numerous wolves that live within its eaves.
The forest is settled by crofters, foresters and hunters. Houses Forrester, Woods, Branch and Bole control territories within the forest and are sworn to House Glover of Deepwood Motte. Despite the number of inhabitants, most of the wood is wild and untamed (x).
