I was 8 years old and this movie changed my life. I instantly fell in love with martial arts and begged my parents to sign me up. ❤️Honestly, we were a poor family, my dad is a truck driver and my mom worked factory jobs until retiring to take care of my dying grandmother. I know we struggled, I felt it, but my folks found a way to keep paying for my ‘karate’ lessons....$25 a month no matter what, they did it. 😢 Fast forward to today and thru my parents sacrifices , I have owned a studio with champion competitors and hundreds more that are Changing the world 🌎 in many positive ways with their talents in karate and others. This movie is awesome not because it was good, but the lessons and inspiration from it have lasted. Thank you to my parents and to all you parents out there that sacrifice to allow your child to live their ‘karate kid’ dreams and goals. ❤️Respect 🙏🏻 #jpmaastrong #myaskc #promackarate #thearknsasopen (at Jonesboro, Arkansas) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzBGJ8gDlpI/?igshid=1l7pnkjmlnkjv
